Hi,
My company just started using impulse and we are thinking about using the handheld stuff. any body out there using it? what do you think? thanks

Responding and posting is all new to me. Just trying it out. I am aware of several companies using mobile devices to track maintenance. Most recently Roger Stotts Farm has implemented Mobile Works. North Shore Long Island Jewish Health Systems is in the process of rolling out Mobile Works as well.

| Hi Sharon, You can also see MobileWorks in action from several of the video's on the Tech Support site. Just login and search on the word video. Also, until 3/31/07, you can add a MobileWorks license for $250 (regulary $500). We implemented mobileworks awhile ago. It is a great tool for my supervisors the way we have it set up in that all they need to do at the end of any day is go in a check that technicians have entered information correctly and then close the work orders. It has simplified their lives. It took some training of the techs but it's worht it. I would suggest, if possible, that you get a device with as large a screen as possible. I currently have one pda that we issue each day but am looking into buying something with a larger screen so they can see it better. That is the only complaint I have gotten about it.

| What about bar coding? Is anyone using mobileworks and bar coding? if so, explain.
